A group of criminals heavily armed with rifles robbed a gold sales business in the Mapiri locality, La Paz department, a violent incident that occurred in front of a child, who was protected by his father, owner of the affected place.

The robbery took place at 9:55 p.m. on Monday, September 2, in the business that adjoins a financial institution. Surveillance cameras They caught the antisocials, who arrived aboard a silver vehicle from which they got out with their weapons in hand.

One of the older men took refuge inside the place, while the owner, who was at the entrance, confronted the thieves, but in his eagerness to protect his child and try to get the child to go away and the thieves to leave the place, he was shot.

The owner was wounded in the foot by at least two gunshots; the robbers raided the place to commit the robbery. Police and local residents were mobilised after the incident to find the robbers, but hours later they only found the abandoned vehicle, a lead-coloured Turing station wagon.
