With discount plans, bank promotions and low price programs for the holidays, provincial authorities announced facilities for consumer access to Christmas basket merchandise, with special emphasis on regional and artisan products.

To all these options, the provincial banks added their own offers of payments in various installments, and benefits with discounts of up to 40 percent for certain days in supermarkets, toy stores, clothing, gift, and decoration stores.

And at the national level, the Fair Prices program, which applies to 1,900 products for four months, includes foods from the Christmas basket such as cider, sweet bread, caramelized sugar and nougat. It can be consulted by category and chains attached to Fair Prices or on the mobile phone app.

Buenos Aires

For these holidays, the Bank of the Province announced that it will offer discounts of up to 40 percent with its virtual wallet DNI Account in participating businesses of all items from Monday 19 to Saturday 24, with a cap of 2,000 pesos per person, while in supermarkets there will be a 20 percent discount on Tuesdays 20 and 27 and Wednesdays 21 and 28 December, with a unified cap of 1,200 pesos per person and validity.

In addition, those over 60 years of age can access a 100% discount on their purchases, from Friday to Wednesday, with a cap of 1,500 pesos per month.

Meanwhile, in La Plata, the local Central Market extended the affordable price program with a wide range of meats, fruits and vegetables, baked goods, beverages and grocery products, with discounts for retirees, benefits for DNI Accounts and UPCN affiliates.

And in Ensenada, the new Municipal Market offers various commercial proposals with fair prices for the residents of the region.

The prices of the basket will be valid until January 5 in more than 100 stores.
