With discount plans, bank promotions and low price programs for the holidays, provincial authorities announced facilities for consumer access to Christmas basket merchandise, with special emphasis on regional and artisan products.
To all these options, the provincial banks added their own offers of payments in various installments, and benefits with discounts of up to 40 percent for certain days in supermarkets, toy stores, clothing, gift, and decoration stores.
And at the national level, the Fair Prices program, which applies to 1,900 products for four months, includes foods from the Christmas basket such as cider, sweet bread, caramelized sugar and nougat. It can be consulted by category and chains attached to Fair Prices or on the mobile phone app.
Buenos Aires
For these holidays, the Bank of the Province announced that it will offer discounts of up to 40 percent with its virtual wallet DNI Account in participating businesses of all items from Monday 19 to Saturday 24, with a cap of 2,000 pesos per person, while in supermarkets there will be a 20 percent discount on Tuesdays 20 and 27 and Wednesdays 21 and 28 December, with a unified cap of 1,200 pesos per person and validity.
In addition, those over 60 years of age can access a 100% discount on their purchases, from Friday to Wednesday, with a cap of 1,500 pesos per month.
Meanwhile, in La Plata, the local Central Market extended the affordable price program with a wide range of meats, fruits and vegetables, baked goods, beverages and grocery products, with discounts for retirees, benefits for DNI Accounts and UPCN affiliates.
And in Ensenada, the new Municipal Market offers various commercial proposals with fair prices for the residents of the region.

And in Rosario, the Centro Unión Almaceneros and the Municipality presented the 19th stage of the “Fair Prices” program with a basket of 65 products, with frozen prices for Christmas and New Year, in a plan that brings together local producers and marketers.
The prices of the basket will be valid until January 5 in more than 100 stores.
Cordova
In Córdoba, the provincial government agreed with supermarkets to implement a promotional Christmas basket, with five products and at a cost of 999 pesos.
The family Christmas basket contains a 400-gram sweet bread with fruit, a fruit pudding, a 60-gram package of caramelized sweets, a peanut nougat and a classic cider and, according to government sources, the promotion represents between 25 and 40 % below the market value on supermarket shelves.
In Mendoza, the traditional Christmas basket, which costs 4,590 pesos, with products made by Mendoza hands, brings together 6,562 productive units in the province, indicated the Directorate of Social Economy and Associations.

In Corrientes, the government announced the sale of Christmas baskets and lamb from Corrientes with promotional prices throughout December, after agreements with local businesses.
These are two provincial Christmas baskets that will be offered in supermarkets, whose prices will range between 1,390 and 1,790 pesos, while the ‘correntino’ lamb will have a value per kilo of 949 pesos.
The reduced values of high-consumption products for the holidays will extend throughout December and will have discounts of between 30 and 50 percent for four days with Banco de Corrientes cards.
Santiago del Estero
Santiago del Estero launched a “Christmas Family Basket” and “Santiago Prices” with a list of products from the basic food basket valid until the 31st and at a value of 1,200 pesos, according to the agreement signed by authorities of the Ministry of Economy with the of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“The agreements consist of reference price lists whose purpose is to guarantee the consumer access to basic basket products at competitive prices and in this way guarantee the consumption of the people of Santiago,” the authorities explained.
“This year we offer the Family Christmas Basket at a price of 1,200 pesos with five excellent quality products so that each family from Santiago can share at their table in these upcoming holidays,” said the Minister of Economy, Atilio Chiara.

The beneficiaries in Chubut will be provincial and municipal public employees, retirees, beneficiaries of the Social Card and Malvinas War Veterans.
