In an act of daring and audacity, a criminal stole more than 100 million pesos from a Banco de Chile branch in Quilpué, Valparaíso region, on Monday morning.
The bank, located in the busy Portal El Belloto of the commune, was the victim of the actions of this cunning thief, who, according to police sources, would have seized an amount fluctuating between 100 and 150 million pesos.
According to information collected by Radio Bío Bío, the individual, armed and dangerous, would have threatened the employees of the branch with firearms and ammunition to achieve his objective, an act that undoubtedly represents a clear danger to society in general. .
According to what was indicated by the Carabineros, the offender would have entered the bank and, surprisingly, would have given a sheet of paper to an official of the establishment, indicating that the situation corresponded to an assault.
Then, he would have handed another sheet of paper to the branch guard, in which he was told that he had to deliver the money collected during the day to the cashiers, at which time the thief proceeded to take the funds and fled the place with an unknown address. .
Faced with such a criminal act, the police authorities were quickly notified, arriving at the site of the event in record time and beginning the necessary investigation work to clarify what happened.
The uniformed police are working on the corresponding proceedings to find the whereabouts of the thief, who so far is a fugitive from justice.
Likewise, the prosecutor on duty instructed that police personnel be the ones to carry out the necessary investigations to be able to identify the offender and, in this way, be able to bring him to justice to answer for his criminal actions.
