The new uniform has a multipurpose belt with the capacity to have about 10 accessories, such as bullet magazines, electric guns, pepper spray, batons, flashlights, handcuffs, knives, gloves, among others. In addition, the redesign of the uniform includes the entity’s new motto, “Protect and serve.”
“Police” will be the word that will be read on the back of the uniform as well as the cap that will also have the rank, with this word it will immediately differentiate itself from any other armed institution in the country. Also purchased were 30,000 blue ties for men, 4,572 bowties for women of the same color, 518,585 pieces of underwear, 34,572 police caps and 30,048 pairs of black shoes for men and 4,524 pairs of shoes for women.
As accessories, kepis, hats, helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, balaclavas, scarves, among others, were also purchased for both sexes.

A group of designers and fashion specialists chose the unique and flexible fabric for the uniforms, which is suitable for the climate and police work in a country like the Dominican Republic, and which also meets international standards.
Due to their characteristics, these designs were approved with uniforms of 10 police and security forces in Europe, South America and Central America so that they inspire confidence in citizens.
