Political, union and social organizations commemorated this Tuesday throughout the country the 70th anniversary of the death of Eva Perónday in which the president Alberto Fernandez and the vice president Cristina Kirchner they exalted and showed as an example the one who went down in history as the “flag-bearer of the humble”.
Fernandez asked to take the flag of Eva Peron and “fight” against those who “speculate” and argued: “Here we are, dear Eva, with the conviction of continuing to work for and for the people.”
For its part, Cristina Kirchner considered Evita “an Argentine passion.”

Meanwhile, a sector of the CGTthe Trade Union Front for the National Model (FSMN) and the Central of Argentine Workers (CTA) carried out a “torch march” from the corner of 9 de Julio and Independencia avenues to the building of the Ministry of Social Developmentwhere gigantic images of Evita are installed on its sides.
There, the deputy secretary general of Truckers and co-secretary general of the CGT, Paul Moyanohighlighted the importance of “celebrating the unity that we are having in the street” and assured that “it is a march defending the president and the vice president.”
“The anti-country are those who want to destabilize the Government to come with the labor reform”he pointed out, and ratified that “On 17 (August) we mobilized throughout the country. We are going to demonstrate what the organized labor movement is.”

The CGT also officially paid tribute to its historic headquarters at Azopardo 802, where the co-secretary general Hector Daer (Health) urged to achieve “the happiness of the people and the greatness of the homeland.”
Like Moyano Jr., he reiterated the call for the march scheduled for August 17 against inflation and price markers and in demand for solutions for the most vulnerable sectors.

In his speech, Cafiero maintained that The leaders of Peronism have this Tuesday the possibility of “continuing to strengthen” the legacy of Eva Perónwhich is “linked to the extension of rights and the defense of that extension of rights”, and stressed that the campaign presented seeks to “sustain memory, because the attacks throughout these 70 years were attacks on memory, to undo You are a legacy.”
The “torch march” was also replicated in other parts of the countryas in the city of Avellaneda, where the Justicialist Party of that Buenos Aires municipality called for a mobilization in “commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Passage to Immortality of our spiritual guide Eva Perón.”
Meanwhile, the Justicialist Party of Bahía Blanca remembered Eva Perón with the placement of floral offerings at the monument and the square that bears her name, in an act that was attended by leaders, militants, councilors and trade unionists.

In the place located on Avenida Montecarlo and Mar de Ajó, a torchlight parade was held to inaugurate an iron sculpture of Evita weighing 700 kilos created by the sculptor Sebastián Martino.
In Jujuy, PJ militants and leaders participated in different homage acts in the capital city.
“As long as there is someone in need, Evita is there to remind us that our job is to change that reality. And remembering her sets the course for us: always the people first,” national deputy Leila Chaher said in a dialogue with Télam from the Mar en Coche cultural space, where an interview with a woman from Jujuy who “had the joy of meeting the woman who gave her life for the women and working people of Argentina”.
Meanwhile, in San Rafael, south of Mendoza, the PJs participated in an act at the party’s provincial headquarters and unveiled a plaque commemorating “Eternal Avoid”.
For her part, the national senator Alejandra Vigo -wife of the Cordovan governor, John Schiaretti– led the tribute activities in Córdoba, where she highlighted that Evita “transcended the women of Peronism themselves, shaped the political participation of women, taught us that we could lead and activate politics” and stated that “from then on, it seems to me that the figure of Eva for the entire political spectrum is one of the most important”.

There, the day of commemorative activities began with a floral offering at the monument to Eva Perón, in Bajada Pucará, and then a community mural was inaugurated with the figure of Juan Perón’s wife in Barrio Campo de la Ribera, where the deputy mayor of the capital, Daniel Passerin.
And the governor of Formosa, Gildo Insfrán, expressed that “his spirit of struggle, commitment and solidarity is in force in the people of Formosa and drives us to continue transforming our reality.”
