The final will be this Saturday (20), at Pacaembu, at a time to be defined by the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF), organizer of the competition.
The duel pits teams that reached important decisions at the base in 2025, but ended up in second place. THE Flamengo lost the Brazilian Under-20 Championship to Botafogowhile the Grêmio was beaten by Corinthians in the under-17 Brasileirão final. Both games were broadcast live on TV Brasil.
Grêmio was the one who took first place in the Copinha decision. The Musketeers beat Santos on penalties, 5-3, after the teams played out a goalless draw in normal time, at the Centro Esportivo Recreativo Educativo do Trabalhador (Ceret). Goalkeeper for the Brazilian semi-finalist team in this year’s U-17 World Cup, Josi was the highlight of the tricolors’ classification, defending the Gabs midfielder’s shot.

The Grêmio victory maintains a taboo in the Women’s Cup: no club from São Paulo – despite the tournament being held in São Paulo – managed to reach the decision. In 2023, the final involved Flamengo and Botafogo, with a red and black triumph. The following year, the title game pitted Fluminense and Internacional face to face and Tricolor came out on top.
Flamengo will have the chance to maintain another taboo, which is that only teams from Rio can win the tournament. Qualification for the final came with a 2-1 victory over Internacional, in a comeback, at Canindé. The Gurias Coloradas took the lead nine minutes into the second half, with midfielder Joana. Meninas da Gávea, however, took the lead with two goals from Brendha, scored in the 30th and 34th minutes. The striker is the competition’s top scorer, with eight goals.
