Four starting transfers for 14.5 million dollars were approved by the Budget Commission of the National Assembly to the Ministry of Government (Mingob).

These transfers were supported by Minister Janaina Tewaney Mencomo, who explained that these monies will be used for the purchase of food for those deprived of liberty, maintenance of the La Nueva Joya Penitentiary Center, payment of electricity, and to reactivate the agreement to build and equip the prison. new Women’s Rehabilitation Center (Cefere).

In this sense, he explained that 10 million 200 thousand dollars will be for food for those deprived of liberty at the national level, to attend to the comprehensive maintenance contract of the La Nueva Joya Penitentiary Center and the payment for the electricity service.

The Ministry requested three additional starting transfers, one for 958 thousand 650 dollars, another for two million 302 thousand with 51, and one million to reactivate the agreement for the construction and equipment of the new Women’s Rehabilitation Center.
