From the early hours of the morning, young people from the National University of Huancavelica, the Pedagogical Institute, the Ministry of Culture and other institutions went up to the apu, where they waited for the first rays of the sun, which are from the winter solstice.

He added: “We are going to receive the first rays of the sun, to receive that biomagnetic energy, that photogenic energy, that solar energy, to transport and harmonize our body, nature and cosmos.”
To receive said solar rays, all those present raised their hands and with a prayer offered by Roberto Flores, sought to receive the first rays of the sun on this winter solstice, a date that the Andean calendar marks as a new year.
