A catalog of 200 high-end homes will be available for the winter holidays on the Chilean luxury rental platform Sundes.com. The startup’s offer includes shelters in mountainous areas, especially those close to ski resorts, as well as an offer in lakes in the south and spas in the central area.
High-end homes available on Sundes.com also include apartments located in close proximity to three ski resorts in the Metropolitan Region: Colorado, La Parva and Farellones. Although in terms of luxury or architectural value they exhibit less potential than other areas of central and southern Chile, they maintain a high-quality seal, with “boutique” decoration and spaces with high-level features. Prices for these properties range from US$300 to US$1,000 per night.
Juan Pablo Zanartugeneral manager and CEO of Sundes.com, comments that “For people who are fans of winter sports, particularly skiing, these three- and four-bedroom apartments are an interesting alternative for July vacations. They maintain the quality seal of all those registered in our catalog (they have a demanding certification process, to certify that the available properties belong to the 3% highest level of the market)”.
From Zapallar to the southern lakes
In addition to mountain refuges, the Chilean startup’s catalog also offers interesting alternatives in several regions. The ones that usually attract the most attention are the houses of Zapallar and Cachagua, properties of high architectural value, close to family trails and with privileged views of the Pacific Ocean. Also among the favorites are those located in the southern lakes, mainly Pucon.
From Sundes they assure that the next few weeks are an ideal period to assess options and finalize rental reservations with a view to the mid-year break. The demand, they project, could be high considering the reactivation of the tourism industry thanks to the fewer restrictions in this phase of the pandemic.
“Local tourism will remain highly active in the coming months, in what we hope will be a frank recovery process after two complex years as a result of the pandemic. We already saw a significant revival over the summer, and we expect the winter break to be the high point of that upward trend for the industry.”analyzes Juan Pablo Zañartu.
Created in 2018, Sundes.com maintains a registry of more than 300 houses, all of them certified in their quality by an exhaustive review protocol that considers 120 parameters, including design, location, Wi-Fi quality, cleanliness and access to services. Its rentals have an average price of US $900 per night, in three categories: three stars, between $300 and $700; four stars, from $700 to $1,000; and five stars, for properties over a thousand dollars.
