He Winter Bonus 2023 is one of the most important subsidies granted in Chile, and this year brings a significant novelty: the amount will double for all beneficiaries. The President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, announced this measure and provided more details about the increase for this year.
To check if you are one of the beneficiaries of the 2023 Winter Bonus, you must enter the official website of Chile Atiende (https://www.chileatiende.gob.cl/) and provide your RUT number. There you will be able to verify if you will receive more than 130,000 Chilean pesos in the month of June if you meet the requirements.
Now, let’s see who are those who fulfill the requirements to be beneficiaries of the 2023 Winter Bonus. Pensioners from the Social Welfare Institute, the Labor Security Institute, the Provident Funds and the Employers’ Mutual Societies of Law No. 16,744 are included, whose pensions are equal to or less than the value of the minimum old-age pension established in article 26 of Law No. 15,386. In addition, the pensioners of the system established in Decree Law No. 3,500 of 1980 are considered, who receive minimum pensions with state guarantee according to Title VII of said legal body.
They are also included in the Winter Bonus pensioners of said system who receive an old-age solidarity pension contribution, provided that their pensions are equal to or less than the value of the minimum old-age pension established in article 26 of Law No. 15,386 for pensioners aged 75 or over. Likewise, the beneficiaries of the universal guaranteed pension are considered, as long as they are not entitled to another pension in any social security regime.
Finally, they are considered for the Winter Bonus those pensioners of any pension scheme who, in addition to receiving a universal guaranteed pension, have pensions equal to or less than the value of the minimum old-age pension established in article 26 of Law No. 15,386 for pensioners aged 75 or over, in the benefit payment date.
