The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) reported, this Monday, in its Official Gazette, that the air transport company Wingowas authorized to operate in the country.
The airline low cost, belonging to the Colombian airline Copa, will offer its services between Argentina, Colombia and Panama, with which Wingo will expand its range of international services.
The authorization issued by ANAC allows Wingo carry out regular international air transport services for passengers, cargo and mail on different routes from Colombia and Panama to Argentina and vice versa.
In this sense, the airline will cover the following routes with Colombia: Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Pereira, Medellín, San Andrés and Bucaramanga; all flights will depart to and from Buenos Aires.
In addition, the airline will seek to expand its offer of domestic flights in the country, in destinations such as Córdoba, Rosario and Mendoza, which are currently operated by its Panamanian subsidiary Copa.
In total, the air transport company will have seven weekly frequencies of its different routes; however, the company will still not be able to promote or market its services until the corresponding time schedule is approved, as reported by ANAC.
It should be remembered that the company had expressed its interest in operating on national soil, since last February, in order to expand its connectivity and in search of new development opportunitiesas the company pointed out at the time.
Where Wingo operates
Currently, The airline low cost operates in 20 international destinations and 9 domestic destinations in Colombian territory, on routes such as San Andrés – Barranquilla, Cartagena-Bogotá, Bogotá-Medellín, among others.
Meanwhile, internationally, it operates in Aruba, Mexico, Cuba, Panama, Peru, Ecuador, Punta Cana, Costa Rica, among other destinations.
