Windows 95 slogan: "How far do you want to go today?"

Face to face

Recently talking as a family, I remembered the slogan that Microsoft’s Windows 95 carried.

So, at that moment, I searched the Internet for that advertising phrase in image file format, I shared and explained about it, because they attracted to my memory, pleasant memories of that time and of the teaching that it brought with it since these words motivate to visualize , assume and achieve long-term challenges.

The slogan invites us to take each day as a starting point (check “today” where you are in relation to your goals); and, later, it makes us understand that the goals that we can achieve in the short term can lead to those that we “want” to achieve in the long term. Notice, what tells us how far you “want” to go today, does not indicate how far you “can” go. That is the big difference, in projection and time.

It is an important slogan, which entails vision, not conformism or short-termism, therefore, it deserves not only to be remembered (for those of us who had the opportunity to meet it and it was a historic moment in our lives) but also to give it greater validity in the lives of current and future generations from a perspective of taking on the challenges, with optimism, courage, effort, objectivity and training firmly grounded in principles and values that answer the timeless question: How far do you want to go today? Where do you want to go today?
