Wimbledon lifts ban on Russian and Belarusian tennis players

The president of the All England Club (AELTC), Ian Hewitt, announced that Russian and Belarusian tennis players will be able to participate in the Wimbledon tournament, the third Grand Slam of the year 2023 that will be held from July 3 to 16.
To participate, they must meet certain conditions, for example, for this year they will compete under the neutral flag, in addition to not supporting the Russian and Belarusian states, nor their leaders, in addition to receiving financing from those regimes and not having sponsorships from companies operated from those countries.
You will also be able to participate in previous Wimbledon events such as the Queen’s and Eastbourne tournaments.
The International Olympic Committee recently recommended that International Federations allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in their international events.
