Wilson Camacho afirma que vivir libres de corrupción debe asumirse como un derecho humano

Santo Domingo.– Judge Wilson Camacho warned that corruption raises urgent questions about its economic and social impact, considering that living in a free society of this evil must be assumed as a fundamental human right.

In a message published on his X account, Camacho urged citizens to reflect on the true cost of corruption, questioning how much it costswhat it means to pursue it, how many victims it generates and how it directly affects people’s lives, especially those who depend on essential public services.

His statements come a few days after the launch of the Operation Cobraa judicial process that investigates alleged embezzlement in the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa).

In this case, the Public Ministry filed accusations against at least ten people, including the former director of the entity, Santiago Hazim.

As part of the investigative proceedings, coercive measures were already imposed on the accused, while the Public Ministry continues to expand the investigation to determine possible criminal responsibilities related to the irregular management of public funds in the institution.
