What are the proposals of Modern Peru?

Modern Peru, the party founded by Aragon, has a brief and general ideology which proposes to make Peru a country “of the first world, without corruption or organized crime.” Although it promotes an “optimistic” vision of the future, some of its first proposals – given in social networks – have been criticized for putting the constitutional order at risk.

Among them are the elimination of presidential, parliamentary and judicial immunity; the withdrawal of bank secrecy for high authorities; and the redefinition of the crime of betrayal to the country to include the theft of public funds. In addition, it raises the departure of Peru of the Pact of San José and a deep reform of the Judiciary and the Public Ministry, in line with trends similar to those that Congress approves and that threatens the independence of powers and the constitutional order.
