The Ministry of Interior decided to accept the resignation of Juan Carlos Delgado from the position of advisor, in which he was appointed this morning, a designation that had been questioned for being involved in the investigation for alleged “smurfing” in the sector Health.
The appointment of Delgado Echevarría was made official this Tuesday with the signature of Minister Willy Huerta and at night a similar resolution was released accepting his resignation.
Previously, El Comercio had reported that the Minister of the Interior, Willy Huerta, had appointed Delgado Echevarría after the two held a meeting that lasted four hours on October 28 at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior (Mininter).
It should be noted that Delgado Echevarría has been implicated in the alleged ‘smurfing’ carried out by former minister Jorge López to make payments to his ex-partner.
As revealed by the “Punto Final” program, Delgado Echevarría was the high-ranking official of the Minsa who instigated the workers in this sector to make deposits of nine thousand soles to the mother of López’s daughters, Dervy Apaza.
