The Avanza País bench is gathering signatures in Congress to promote an interpellation motion against the Minister of the Interior, Willy Huerta, in which it is sought that the official from Pedro Castillo’s cabinet answer a total of 14 questions before the Plenary .
Among the reasons for questioning Huerta are the change of senior PNP officials on August 27, the complaint filed against Colonel Harvey Colchado a day earlier, and the appointment of Segundo Mejía Montenegro as Inspector of the National Police.
In addition, according to the document, Huerta’s answers in the Defense Commission of the Congress on August 29 did not satisfy the questions that hung over him.
Said interpellation motion is already circulating through the various benches and has the signatures of parliamentarians who make up the benches of Podemos Peru, Fuerza Popular, Avanza País, Popular Renewal, Alliance for Progress, among others.
Alejandro Cavero, Tania Ramírez, Eduardo Salhuana, Carlos Anderson, Enrique Wong, Norma Yarrow and Gladys Echaíz are some of the signatures that are already reflected in the document that requires a minimum of 20 signatures.
