William Levy gives details of his life in a Canela TV docuseries

MADRID, Spain.- The actor Cuban William Levy was one of the five celebrities interviewed by the streaming platform Canela TV for the recently released documentary series “My Life”; and that in addition to the statements of the personalities, it includes home videos, unpublished photos and archival material.

During the interview The Caribbean heartthrob gave details of his childhood in Cuba, his emigration to the United States, his beginnings in film and television, among others.

In the 50-minute conversation, Levy recounted that during his childhood in the fishing village of Cojímar, in Havana, he slept in a bed with three other people; and there was no possibility of choosing what he wanted to eat.

“Until I was 15 years old, I could never choose what I wanted to eat. ‘What do you want to eat?’, I never heard that in Cuba, until I was 15 years old when I came to the United States,” recalls the actor, who emigrated to the northern country with his mother, stepfather and his brothers.

However, he feels proud of having been born there: “surrounded by the neighbors I had, by the people I met, because they are one of the things that have made me who I am and continue to make me who I am, that is, they keep me on my feet. on earth”.

“Leaving my family was something that marked me a lot in my life and I remember that the first months I cried almost every night, I missed my grandmother,” she recalls.

Regarding the joys of emigrating, he referred to the “desire to know freedom, to reach a place where you can choose what you want to do and can do it… to be able to give your opinion without being criticized; that inspires you to work and fight for what you want to be in life”.

Regarding her professional life, she recounted that before getting to acting she was a model, but it was a world that she was not too passionate about.

Working as a model, she heard about a casting for a television program called “Protagonistas de novela”. And she managed to enter the show, where she also met Elizabeth Gutiérrez, her ex-partner and mother of her two children. “From there I dedicated myself to pursuing this dream (of acting),” she explains.

As he relates, going to work in Mexico changed his career. There he became a soap opera heartthrob and began to be very loved by the Latino public.

William Levy has starred in soap operas The Tempest, Spell Y the triumph of loveamong other.

For the cinema he has intervened in feature films such as The ghost of my girlfriend, Pieces of life Y In the arms of a murderer.

Last August William Levy began filming the series “Montecristo” in Tenerife, where he will be the protagonist of this six-episode thriller.

For these first five episodes of “My Life”, Canela TV also interviewed the Mexican-Polish actress Ludwika Paleta, the Brazilian actor Guy Ecker, the Venezuelan actress and presenter Gaby Espino and the American actor Danny Trejo.
