William Castillo denounces that the more than 900 sanctions imposed against Venezuela are still in force

The Vice Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies of the Ministry of People’s Power for Economy, Finance and Commerce, William Castillodenounced that the 927 sanctions imposed against Venezuela are still in force, while adding that these attacks have hit the Venezuelan people hard, leaving the State without resources and generating a crisis in the country’s economy.

During an interview granted on the 360 program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, Castillo reiterated the validity of the more than 900 sanctions imposed against Venezuela.

For what he recalled that during the International Book Fair of Venezuela last year, the publication of the book took place, The numbers of the Blockade, report of a statistic of an aggression 2014-2022, with the purpose of disseminating numbers and data on the economic devastation, the drop in oil production and public revenues that have been reversed in the salaries of Venezuelans.

In this sense, the also president of the National Observatory of Unilateral Coercive Measures, highlighted the importance of lifting unilateral coercive measures so that the Venezuelan people can obtain the benefits that belong to them as established by the Constitution.

“President Maduro said a couple of days ago about this double standard of those who requested the sanctions, managed Venezuela’s assets for three and a half years, stole at least two thousand three hundred million dollars that the gringos gave them, but they have led more than 30 billion of Venezuelan assets”, he pointed out.

Hence, despite the sanctions and unilateral coercive measures, the fundamental task of the Bolivarian Government has been to preserve peace, as well as economic recovery.
