Are there classes on Monday, April 28?
Yes. The Calendar of the 2024-2025 school year of the SEP states that on Friday 25 the holidays end and on Monday 28 academic activities resume. Basic level students must return to the classrooms and continue with the curricula.
Is there technical advice in April?
Because the last Friday of April corresponds to the end of the holidays, there will be no ordinary session of technical council this month. The remaining two will be in May and June.
Remaining bridges and rest days
Although the second holiday period passed, there are still bridges and other dates of work suspension.
In the remainder of the cycle, there will be three bridges:
– Monday 5, for being commemoration of the battle of Puebla.
– Friday, May 30, for the seventh session of the Technical Council.
– Friday, June 27, for the eighth session of technical advice.
Nor will there be classes on Thursday 1, for being a mandatory rest day for the commemoration of Labor Day, and on May 15, for teacher’s day.
Summer vacation and start of the 2025-2026 school year
The SEAN calendar establishes that the school year officially ends on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 for preschool, primary and secondary students. However, the official class recess will begin on July 19.
At the time of publication of this note, the 2025-2026 school calendar is not yet available, so there is still no official date of the holiday and start of the next cycle.
