The family of Luis Andrés Colmenares, a former UniAndes student who died in strange circumstances after leaving a Halloween party in October 2010, is waiting to see what the Supreme Court of Justice, the highest court of ordinary justice, will say about the case.
It should be remembered that Luis Alonso Colmenares, Oneida and Jorge Colmenares, father, mother and brother of Luis Andrés Colmenares, filed an appeal as their last letter in “search of justice”, as they have always stated.
During the hearing, which will begin at 11 a.m. in Bogotá, the defense of the Colmenares family will have 10 minutes to present arguments against Laura Moreno and Jessy Quintero, the two young women who were acquitted in the case in the first and second instance by a court and a tribunal in Bogotá.

Once the arguments of each of the parties involved in the process have been presented, the court will review the case and decide whether to reopen it or definitively ratify the acquittal.
For the moment it has been said that the defense of the company will be present at the hearing. Colmenares family, represented by the lawyer Jaime Lombana; the defenders of Laura Moreno and Jessy Quintero and a representative of the Attorney General’s Office.
A few days ago, a photograph was released by Luis Andrés Colmenares’ brother in which Laura Moreno and Jessy Quintero are seen together chatting at the ABC Serrano bar, one of the most fashionable places in Madrid (Spain).
“Many of you have asked me about what Laura and Jessy’s life is like. Well, today you sent me this photo of the two of them, perhaps talking in Madrid, curiously just a few weeks before the hearing at the Supreme Court of Justice… Coincidence?” wrote the current Bogotá councilor in his post.
Defense of the Colmenares family claims that they know who killed him
Lawyer Jaime Lombana She has claimed that Laura Moreno evidently did not kill Luis Andrés Colmenares, who was found dead in the El Virrey canal on November 1, 2010, but according to her theory she would know who supposedly did it.
