As the expert explained in his X account, “These are the ‘winter’ rains that enter the reservoirs in full.” These are caused by humid masses that move over the Orinoquia and reach the eastern mountain range, discharging their heavy precipitation with electrical storms in the Guavio, Chingaza, San Rafael, Tominé, Neusa and throughout the Savannahincluding the country’s capital

Henríquez also pointed out that the intense rains that occurred this Sunday, November 10, will continue these days, having a greater occurrence in the afternoon in central and southern Colombia.

In the case of Cali, this Monday morning, November 11 Rainfall is expected, while isolated rain will fall in the capital of the Valley on the remaining days of the week.

According to the meteorologist, “In Medellín it will also rain almost all week, but it will be particularly strong on Monday. In addition to the rains this afternoon, the night will continue with precipitation until the morning in Quibdó and a good part of Chocó.”

For its part, the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (Ideam) has predicted that for this month of November There is a 60% probability of the La Niña phenomenon occurring.a time characterized by rainfall.

The Ideam has indicated that a weak intensity of the phenomenon is expected with a probable alteration of the rains over sectors of the Caribbean, Andean and Pacific regions.
