MIAMI, United States. — Cuban actor Wilber Gutiérrez, famous for playing the character of Heriberto Chacón in the humorous series live from the storyarrived this week in the United States, according to a video of his arrival published on the Facebook page “CUBA TODAY Entertainment”.
The artist, surrounded by his loved ones, was received at an unidentified United States airport.
“Thank you very much to all the family who came [sic] to welcome us, here Heriberto Chacón de live from the storyWell, what remains, what Díaz-Canel left,” Gutiérrez expressed in the video.
In this way, the comedian joins the list of members of the popular series who have decided to leave the Island in search of better living conditions.
Figures such as Andy Vázquez (Facundo Correcto), Omar Franco (Ruperto), Irela Bravo (Chachita) or Marlon Pijuán (Isidoro), also chose to emigrate in recent years. At the moment, only Luis Silva (Pánfilo) and Mario Sardiñas (Chequera) remain in Cuba.
At the end of November 2024, sources close to Gutiérrez confirmed to CubaNet the departure of the artist and several of his relatives from the Island. Before entering the United States this week, the actor was in Mexico.
“Chacón went on a journey. Even several people from the program found out about his departure after he left,” declared a producer of the program and a close friend of the comedian.
The actor enjoyed great popularity for his character of the carpenter Chacón, one of the key figures in live from the storywhich represented a type of wealthy entrepreneur who resorted to dubious strategies to grow his business and was always in a kind of struggle with Pánfilo, the central character of the space played by the popular Luis Silva.

Born in Santiago de Cuba, Wilber Gutiérrez began his work in the amateur movement and in 2023 he moved to Havana, where he won several awards at the Aquelarre festivals, the main event for Cuban humor.
In 2012, the actor joined the cast of the comedy Pepito’s friendswhich made it more widely known among the public and then joined live from the storywhere he made an antagonistic and very popular duo with Pánfilo.
