The defense of the young man accused of killing his half-sister, aims to dismantle the accusation of femicide (which implies a higher penalty), on the one hand, and on the other, try to present the case as accidental suicide.
Lawyer Pedro Jara assumed the legal representation of Wilmar Rodriguez. He is accused of having killed his half-sister, Romina Peralta, and with whom, according to the prosecution, he had a relationship. what appears to be a plot base that will be part of his client’s defense, lawyer Jara began to venture into the media, as a preview of his professional diligence.
And it was in an interview he had with Urbana AM radio, in which he put on the table the perception that he himself, as a lawyer, has of Wilmar. And at that time he reinforces her conviction that her client is innocent and that he did not kill her sister, much less, he says, had a relationship with her.
“The guy is cross-eyed, he’s horrible, he doesn’t have a weight, he doesn’t speak well, do you think his sister is going to notice him? This is just a personal opinion,” said lawyer Jara.
He added that the prosecution did not speak with his client, so he does not have his version of the events surrounding the case and that culminated in Romina’s death.
“The prosecution never listened to him (Wilmar), that’s why we sent that letter, he can’t say who it was if he wasn’t there,” the lawyer emphasized, to explain the reason for sending the letter from his client to the journalist. Hector Alegre, from Unicanal.
In the letter, Wilmar points out that at the time his sister died, he was in the bathroom, preparing to go to his workplace.
In the fiscal field, they maintain that the defense of the accused will try to present the death of the young woman, as a result of an accident, which occurred while she manipulated and shot at herself.
