Quite sad is the news that during the morning of this Friday, November 11, has been known and confirmed in the media in the country. Alverjita, one of the most beloved clowns in Colombia, passed away in the last few hours.
One of the media that confirmed the clown’s departure was Caracol Radio, who reported that his departure had occurred during the early hours of today.
They recalled that Alverjita had been suffering from a serious illness that had affected his health in recent months.
His daughter gave details:
- “He deteriorated very quickly, unfortunately. He suffered from Alzheimer’s and his health deteriorated very quickly. He was done to the last and unfortunately this morning he left us”.
The woman not only remembered her father as one of the most beloved clowns in the country, but also thanked those who were always part of her show and those who prayed for her health.
“The important thing is that they always remember him fondly. He was a very dedicated person to all the people who always needed him. He always provided all of his charisma,” he emphasized.
In August there was talk about his health
It was during the month of August of this year when Gustavo Gómez, director of Caracol Radio’s 6 am, indicated through a post on Twitter that his state of health was not the best.

Remembering Alverjita
Alverjita began more than forty years ago, when he discovered that he had the talent and magic to make young and old laugh.
On his page, Alverjita Clown remember that «after several years of professionalization in the art of clowning, he linked his children to this great challenge; make laugh without double meaning or verbally or physically attack any viewer.
He visited hospitals, detention centers, centers for people with physical disabilities, foundations, walks, marches in general, clown congresses, magicians and circus events throughout the continent.
