On September 7th, Clement Castaneada, The coordinator of the orange bench in the Senate denounced that Daniel Barreda was being pressured to vote in favor of the Judicial Reform.
“We have particularly denounced the case of pressure against our colleague Daniel Barreda, senator for Campeche, who is facing an open judicial process with the orders of Governor Layda Sansores, in an attempt to stop his participation in the Senate session,” he said.
“We have political and legal reason on our side, we will defend our colleague Daniel Barreda, I have full confidence and certainty that he will be there voting against,” he added.
On the afternoon of Monday, September 9, prior to the session this Tuesday in the Senate, where the Judicial Reform is being discussed, Daniel Barreda published a message on X in which he stated that he was with the senators of the orange bench Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas, Alejandra Barrales, Amalía García and the coordinator of the bench Clemente Castañeda: “Working as a team and analyzing what is best for the country in terms of Justice.”

Despite this, Daniel Barreda has so far remained absent from the first votes submitted to the full Senate of the Republic.
Although members of the Citizen Movement in the Senate accused the legislator and his father of being detained in Campeche, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, president of the Senate, and legislator Adán Augusto López assured that they communicated with him and that he is in Mexico City.
