Elections 2022: candidates for the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima
1. Omar Chehade Moya (Alliance for Progress)
Omar Chehade Moya, 52, is one of the seven candidates running for the Mayor of Lima. The former congressman and former confidant of Ollanta Humala is presenting himself for the first time in a subnational electoral process with Alianza para el Progreso.
Before, he participated in the 2011 General Elections within the presidential list (second vice-presidency) and the parliamentary list of Gana Perú, which were elected. Similarly, she ran in the 2020 congressional elections with César Acuña’s party, in which he managed to win a seat.

2. Gonzalo Alegría Varona (Together for Peru)

The Podemos Peru candidate does not register a judicial sentence nor is he investigated for corruption. However, he is accused of having participated in the murder of the journalist Hugo Bustios when he was assigned as head of the S-2 Intelligence Section in Castropampa (Huanta, Ayacucho).

5. Yuri Castro Romero (Free Peru)

6. George Forsyth Sommer (We Are Peru)
George Forsyth Sommer40, is the candidate of Somos Perú for the Mayor of Lima. After his failed attempt to win the presidential elections last year, he now pretends to be the new mayor of the capital, this time with a different shirt.
