President Luis Abinader is currently leading the follow-up meeting to the Citizen Security Plan to continue guaranteeing well-being for the benefit of Dominicans.
The meeting began at 10:34 in the morning, in the Officers’ Club Room of the National Police Palace, where they continued to evaluate the assigned tasks, achievements obtained and the measures to continue strengthening security in the country.
On this occasion, the Director General of the Government Office of Information and Communication Technologies (OGTIC), Bartolomé Pujals, and the deputies will participate in the meeting elected from the National District, Carlos Sanchez and Vicente Sanchez; from San Pedro de Macoris, Luis Gomez Benzo; from Montecristi, Rosendy Joel Polanco; from Dajabon, Ruben Contreras; from Santiago, Felix Miguel Rodriguez Morel and from Azua, Brenda Ogando.
The Head of State was accompanied by the Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos; the Minister of the Interior and the Minister of Police, Jesús Vásquez Martínez; the Director of the National Police, Major General Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta; the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa; the Commander General of the Army, Major General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre; the Commander General of the Dominican Navy, Vice Admiral, Agustín Alberto Morillo Rodríguez; and representing the Commander General of the Air Force, Major General Carlos Ramón Febrillet Rodríguez, was the Inspector General, Brigadier General Pilot, Rafael C. Acosta Sena.
Also present were the president of the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD), Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa; the head of the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Security (Digesett), General Francisco Osoria de la Cruz; the director of the Tourist Police (Politur), General Minoru Matsunaga; the deputy director of the National Police, General Juan Hilario Guzmán Badía; the advisor to the Executive Branch, John Huvane de Giuliani; and the director of Internal Affairs of the National Police, General Ramón Ramírez.
In addition to the directors of the National Emergency and Security System 9-1-1, Colonel Pilot Randolfo Rijo Gomez; of the School Police, Colonel Martin Miguel Tapia Sanchez; of Prisons, Roberto Hernandez Basilio and the Executive Commissioner for Police Reform, Luis Ernesto Garcia Hernandez and also the retired Major General of the Colombian police, Norberto Mujica.
The deputy prosecutor and head of the Prosecution Department also participated in the meeting.
