President Luis Abinader appointed María Isabel Castillo Báez, as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador in USA, who until now served as representative of the Dominican Republic in Mexico.
María Isabel Castillo Báez She has a doctorate in Law, with a master’s degree in International law and other studies, with a track record of more than 20 years in the foreign service, with the positions of counselor and ambassador at the Dominican Embassy in the United Mexican States.
The appointment of Castillo Báez was made through the decrees number 20-25 that orders the new ambassadors of the Dominican Foreign Service, complying with the provisions of the Law 630-16about the rotation in the diplomatic missions.
By the same provision, it was designated Juan Bolívar Díaz Santana as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador in the United Mexican Stateswho, currently, is the Dominican ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain; to Tony Raful Tejada extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the Kingdom of Spainwho, to date, is the Dominican ambassador in the Italian Republic; already Rafael Antonio Lantigua Ciriaco as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the Italian Republic.
