Who is Libardo Márquez, the new Superintendent of Public Services

Important changes are being made in the Superintendency of Public Services and one of them is that of Dagoberto Quiroga, who was head of the entity. After his resignation, it was learned in the last few hours that Quiroga’s replacement is already in place, and Libardo Yanod Márquez Aldana will join the control and surveillance body.

Quiroga’s departure is still a mystery. However, some possible hypotheses have emerged as to why he is leaving his position. One of them is the alleged leak of information, as announced by the Investigative Unit of EL TIEMPO.

Márquez is a public administrator from the Higher School of Public Administration, has a master’s degree in economic sciences from the National University of Colombia and has a doctorate in economic sciences from the National University of Córdoba.

In his work experience he has been in both the public and private sectors.

He started as a contractor at the National Institute of Recreation and Sports (Idrd).

Later, he was general manager at the company Slyg Soluciones Lógicas Yayan Gaia, and later He became deputy general manager at Transmilenio.

He returned to the private sector as a general administration contractor for the Blocksoftware company. In 2023 he came to the Government as an office advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, in the administration of former Minister Germán Umaña.
