Jorge Luis Montero Cornejo sworn in tonight as new Minister of Energy and Minesan office that he knows well, since he was vice minister of that portfolio during the government of Francisco Sagasti.
He is an economist by profession, with an MBA and a Postgraduate Degree in Human Rights.
He is also a specialist in businesses and projects with high socio-environmental impacts, investment funds, non-profit associations and Public Policies.

The new minister has 25 years of experience.
“My specialty is building and leading agreements between parties to develop new businesses, ongoing businesses and high-impact social projects through shared value strategies, that is, social investments that reduce risks and operational and transactional costs, improving, at the same time, the living conditions of the social environment,” he writes in his presentation on the social network.
The economist declares that he is motivated by technological change, communication for concertation, social transformation and the production of economic value to help the sustainability of the future world.
“I have learned that the best work teams are those that have the same vision and are united by relationships of trust. My goal is to assume greater professional responsibilities in the world of sustainable business, social projects and public management from a perspective of well-being and human development,” he indicates.
And he considers the district of Hualgayoc in Cajamarca as an excellent example of regional concerted development: “The population (39 peasant communities, 3 smaller towns and a district municipality) express their needs and interests in a Concerted Development Plan (2016 – 2025) that It is promoted by its authorities and by the private companies that work in the district. This new order allows corporate social responsibility, municipal budget execution and public accountability to be in accordance with the Law. and in accordance with the needs and interests of the population”.

ON THE FORMALIZATION OF MINERS
In an interview with Canal N, he declared that the formalization of miners has been a formality: “We have to be more emphatic. There is a space for dialogue between the parties. “We are polarized, and that should have been avoided.”
