Near Sheinbaum
On March 1 of this year, the journalist joined the campaign of Morena’s then presidential candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, as her liaison with the business sector.
“I want to share with you, my dear community, that this afternoon Claudia Sheinbaum honored me by inviting me to be part of her campaign team as a liaison with the business sector. The answer was YES because of my admiration for her and it being a historic process #first #woman” , Lomelí expressed then.
During the election campaign, Lomelí was one of Sheinbaum’s closest collaborators. He was even in charge of organizing meetings between the Morenista and representatives of the Private Initiative.
He ran for a federal deputy for Mexico City (Coyoacán) under the acronym of the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico, a position he obtained in the elections on June 2.
Lomelí was expected to be part of Sheinbaum’s team, but he will join Brugada’s cabinet once he requests leave.
