The senators of National Party during these hours the articles of the Accountability that will incur costs to the administration, and the bench met this Saturday with a representative of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) to adjust the numbers.
As he told The Observer Senator Jorge Gandini, during the meeting the bench made several raises regarding the items that require costs. The sum of those costs is still in talks.
The senators introduced “financing formulas” to arrive at a total assessment of the demand. “Financing possibilities were analyzed”, summarized Gandini. Some of the proposals were accepted in the first instance, and others remained to be reviewed in the next few hours.
The government coalition bench will meet next Monday morning and will consider the items of the Rendering of Accounts that are free of charge, and will define the position on each of them. In the afternoon, the bench will meet with representatives of the MEF and the issue “has to be closed” there, according to Gandini, due to the proximity of the date of the vote.
Before, the senator said, the coalition will inform the Broad Front of the proposals.
The Senate will vote between Wednesday and Thursday, and that will be the final deadline to propose modifications to the project, which already has half sanction.
The articles that require financing are those referred to the Solidarity Fund, the University of the Republic (teaching hours and careers in the interior of the country), resources from the UTEC, the Olympic Committee and INISA, among others.
The nationalist caucus seeks to “replace the source of financing for Science and Technology without affecting INAC, LATU and Colonization,” Gandini defined. As well as the operation of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual.
They also evaluate the night shift of the Armed Forces personnel (complement for night shift and military health resources).
