This Wednesday, February 1, the director of the Social Security Fund (CSS) Enrique Lau Cortés, and leaders of various groups reached an agreement to end the strike.
The agreement establishes that all officials must end the strike at the national level, in the different health facilities and executive units of an administrative nature. In addition, they must return to fulfill their duties once the agreement is signed.
In the document, the Administration guarantees them to respect the rights that by Law and the Internal Personnel Regulations correspond to them, without retaliatory measures being applied, due to this strike.
Follow-up will also be given to the agreement and with the mediation of the Ombudsman, the unions and the administration, with regard to the different requests made by the unions that sign this Agreement, and that have been included in the subcommittees that form part of the work tables, duly installed for these purposes.
Since last Tuesday, October 25, 2022, which began with an indefinite work stoppage in different health facilities and executing units, at the national level administrative officials and workers of the Social Security Fund, began a day of protests at the national level that culminated in a National Strike.
