The Descorchados 2023 Guide chose two wines from Familia Deicas. The Cru D’Exception Albariño is the winery’s most recent launch, and in a very short time, Descorchados awarded it 95 points and recognized it as the best white wine in Uruguay, the best Albariño and the best wine from the Atlantic coast.

In turn, the Extreme Vineyards, special projects by Santiago Deicas, the winery’s winemaker, were also in the ranking. This time the chosen one was Extreme Vineyards Subsuelo Corte Único Tannat-Merlot, recognized as the best red wine in Uruguay with 95 points, selected as best blend and best wine from the Atlantic coast.

These recognitions “are especially important for Familia Deicas, reaffirming the path of the winery, rewarding teamwork and passion, and taking Uruguayan wines to the highest level in the world,” they said in a statement.
