The head of advisors to the Government of the province of Buenos Aires, Carlos Bianco, considered this Saturday that “it is necessary” to debate the “quality of justice in Argentina” and the “role of the Supreme Court of Justice”, referring to the request impeachment of the members of the highest court, promoted by President Alberto Fernández and governors.
“It is a decision that Governor Axel Kicillof made in view of the different rulings that the Court has decided, mainly that of co-participation,” Bianco said in an interview with Radio 10.
Along these lines, he added that “added to this various rulings, such as repealing existing laws approved by Congress, reviving others repealed”, and “we must add the scandalous chats where it was clear how they put together rulings, among others this one”.

“There are plenty of reasons for the President together with the governors to decide to move forward with the impeachment, which is provided for in the Constitution; it is not an attack on the Court, an instrument is being used,” he stressed.
Likewise, he considered that “it is necessary to put into debate the quality of Justice in Argentina and the role of the Supreme Court, because all its rulings favor a partisan sector” and maintained that “a serious problem must be discussed, such as the distribution of participatory resources in a sustainable and balanced manner”.
In this sense, he considered that regarding the co-participation “there are two original sins: the first was a measure taken by the radical government of the province of Buenos Aires in 1987”, when “it ceded 6 points of the Buenos Aires co-participation to other provinces with an argument fair and supportive”; and the other is “the 1994 Constitution does not settle the discussion on co-participation and kicks it forward.”
“Of the 40% that the province of Buenos Aires should receive based on what it produces, it only receives 20%, and it is the one with the greatest pockets of poverty, the greatest indigence, the greatest situations of social exclusion,” warned Bianco and stated that “That is solved with two ingredients: good administration and resources.”
Thus, he stated that the discussion “must be given in Congress, by consensus and to solve it” and added: “It is unheard of and inexplicable that the Supreme Court take funds from the provinces and give them to a jurisdiction that is not even a province , as is CABA (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires), and the one with the greatest resources”.
