Iranian military have been in the region of crimea occupied by Russia helping the forces of Moscow to carry out attacks with drones in Ukrainereported on Thursday the White House.
“We assessed that Iranian military personnel were on the ground in Crimea and assisted Russia in these operations,” White House Homeland Security spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

As Kirby said, the Iranians stationed in Crimea offered technical support, and the Russians piloted the drones, whose attacks caused significant damage to Ukrainian infrastructure.
“Tehran is now directly involved on the ground and by supplying weapons that are affecting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine,” Kirby said.

The spokesman assured that the United States will seek “all means to expose, deter and confront Iran’s supply of these munitions against the Ukrainian people.”
“We will continue to vigorously enforce all US sanctions on the Russian and Iranian arms trade,” Kirby added.
