Which sectors recovered energy after the Gascue fire?

The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeast) reported this Tuesday that it has rehabilitated the energy service to more than 80% of the circuits affected by the fire yesterday in transformer number two of the César Nicolás Penson Substation, in the National District.

Through a statement, the general manager of EdeeastAndrés Portes, specified that the improvement in the situation has been possible due to the implementation of the immediate action plan.

He said that the plan included the transfer of cargo to the circuits of the Electricity Distribution Company of the South (Edesur Dominicana).

“We were able to transfer them, arriving around 2:00 this Tuesday morning at around 80% of the load of the entire affected area,” Portes explained, while explaining that it is the Gazcue area, Don Bosco, Independencia avenue, the hotels in the area of ​​the boardwalk and the National Palace.

The official clarified that the Government House never lost electricity because it had other service options.

They were also able to restore power to the San Carlos and Villa Juana area in the first phase of the contingent action plan.

“The second phase continued with the lifting of the events and, immediately afterwards, we planned for today to start the removal of the rubble and prepare each of the bodies through which we are going to rehabilitate the facility,” he continued.
