According to the investigation, on January 27, Carolina Leticia Islas Dorantes went out with a subject identified as Iván. He said that he was going to a restaurant in the historic center of Mexico City, however, since then her family has not known anything else about his whereabouts.
Although the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office issued an information sheet on her disappearance after the disappearance, Carolina’s family denounced the “slowness” of the authorities to carry out investigations and find the whereabouts of the 29-year-old girl.
For this reason, on Friday, February 3, Carolina’s family and friends blocked traffic for several hours at the intersection of Insurgentes and Viaducto Tlalpan to the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway.
This Saturday morning, the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office and the People Search Commission carried out tasks to try to find the young woman. The actions took place at kilometer 27 of the Mexico-Cuernavaca federal highway.
The search work consisted of reviewing open spaces and ravines, with the collaboration of the Heroic Fire Department and authorities from the Tlalpan mayor’s office.
The Government Secretariat of Mexico City set up work tables with the family of the disappeared young woman.
Until the night of this Saturday, February 4, authorities have not located the young woman.
