"Where are they?": mothers of the disappeared march in several Mexican entities

Likewise, they criticized the lack of commitment of the authorities to search for their relatives, which has led to the fact that, to date, in Mexico there are more than 95,000 missing persons, according to the CNB.

“The great failure of the Mexican State is not finding our disappeared beings (…) They created hell for us, there are already disappearances in all the states (of the country), and you are the only ones to blame for not having acted in time,” the mothers demanded.

They also regretted that President López Obrador did not open the doors of the National Palace for them this Tuesday and, instead, they had to be attended by the Undersecretary of the Interior, Alejandro Encinas.

Protests on Mother’s Day for the disappeared spread to various parts of the country.

From north to south

In the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, dozens of mothers and relatives of disappeared persons gathered in the vicinity of the Glorieta de los Niños Héroes to walk towards the Government Palace.

The protesters demanded justice in the face of the wave of violence in the country, as well as the search and location of their missing relatives.

On one of the walls of the Glorieta de los Niños Héroes, the women pasted hundreds of search cards for their missing sons and daughters in the state.
