The Competitions Directorate of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) is in an analysis process to define the new dates of the rescheduled matches of the Clausura Tournament. This decision responds to the need to grant more preparation time to the national team, which is getting ready for its commitments in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The rescheduling seeks to balance the calendar so that all clubs have the same number of matches played, avoiding thus an imbalance that could affect competition.

A member of the Competitions Directorate told Sports360 the importance of this measure: “The idea is that when the November FIFA date ends, all clubs will have the same number of matches. We don’t want some to have three and others to be up to date, since that would distort the championship.”

The matches affected by this rescheduling include key matches such as Always Ready against Royal Pari, The Strongest against Wilstermann, Universitario against Oriente and Real Tomayapo against Bolívar, all corresponding to date 17. In addition, the duels between Oriente and Independiente and The Strongest with Oriente Petrolero. It is estimated that these matches will be played between November 9 and 16.

On the other hand, there are also matches that were suspended due to social conflicts in several cities in the country. The FBF is still evaluating the dates for these matches, which adds an additional layer of complexity to the tournament schedule. The current situation requires careful planning to avoid further inconveniences in the future.

The FBF has shown a willingness to modify the calendar if necessary. In this sense, an official resolution is expected on whether the 22nd date of the Clausura tournament will be suspended to give the national team more days of work before their crucial matches against Ecuador and Paraguayans. If this proposal is rejected, the matchday will be played normally until November 5.

The national coach, Óscar Villegas, has requested this suspension as part of his strategy to properly prepare the team. The Cochabamba coach hopes to have about two weeks before visiting Ecuador in Guayaquil.
