In this sense and when asked about when both processes will end, the senator of the province of Santo Domingo, Antonio Taveras, who is a member of the commission designated for the selection of the new members of the JCE or the ratification of who they are, said that before the November 13 The composition of the Central Electoral Board will be announced.
In relation to the selection process, he said that he thoroughly investigates each of the profiles of the candidates, who are subjected to anti-doping tests.
However, he recognized that there are improvement processes that can be added to the process, such as the application of psychometric tests.
“For the next selection, I will propose it for now, there is no time,” said the congressman in an interview this Thursday on the program One+One which is broadcast on Teleantillas channel 2 and hosted by Adalberto Grullón and Millizen Uribe.
Regarding the Chamber of Accounts, The senator from Santo Domingo reported that at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year the new members of the institution will be known.
Tax Reform
Regarding the fiscal compendium that was “demolished” by citizens and representatives of the different sectors of Dominican society, in public hearings for debate and other scenarios, the legislator reiterated that the tax reform although modified it must be applied.
“The tax reform that is proposed in the law, I think that all sectors agree that the tax pressure must be assumed and that Government spending must be improved,” he said.
“The President made the reforms with the best intentions in the world, here no one wants to pay and that is a problem,” added the businessman.

After withdrawing the tax reform project, the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, said that he has no other proposal, but that the Government would apply the necessary adjustments to cushion the economic impact.
