When do the students of the SEP return to class?
According to the 2024-2025 school calendar, preschool, primary and secondary schools will have vacations from Monday 14 to Friday, April 25, 2025. Therefore, the return to the classroom will be on Monday 28.
Upcoming rest dates
The SEP determined that on Thursday, May 1 will be a day without activities, because it is mandatory rest in Mexico, in commemoration of Labor Day.
The school calendar also specifies other dates in which there will be no classes. Monday 5 and Thursday, May 15 are marked as a suspension of teaching work.

Finally, on Friday, May 30, ordinary session of Technical Council corresponds, when teachers and school authorities will meet to discuss how to achieve the learning of children and adolescents.
In these sessions only the teaching staff, technical advisors and authorities of the education sector participate, so students will not have academic activities.
When are the following vacations?
The next holiday period is the one that ends the 2024-2025 school year. Classes end on Wednesday, July 16. Students can rest from Thursday 17 to 31 of the seventh month of 2025.
So far, the SEP has not published the official calendar of the 2025-2026 cycle, so there is still no official return date to classes at a basic level.
