What would the undecided vote, according to the Citizen Perception Power Plant: Frente Amplio leads the preferences

According to the latest data from the Citizen Perception Unit (UPC), 35% of voters would support the plebiscite on social security, while 46% would support the one on night raids. These results were released a few days before the October 27 elections, after a survey carried out between October 18 and 22.

The survey, which covered 500 people over 18 years of age and representative of the national population, revealed that 89% of the electorate has already defined their vote, while 8% remain undecided and 3% are inclined to vote blank or canceled.

Distribution of Undecided

The UPC analyzed the profile of the undecided voters taking into account their interest in politics, history of decisions, ideological and demographic affinities, proximity to the parties and position regarding a possible runoff. As a result, of that 8% undecided, one point was awarded to blank and null votes, two points to the Frente Amplio (FA), four points to the parties of the government coalition and one point to other parties.

This places the voting intention for the FA at 47% for this Sunday’s elections, while the National Party would obtain 25% and the Colorado Party 16%. Cabildo Abierto reaches 3% support and the Independent Party 1%, adding 45% for the government coalition.

Ballot Projections

The survey also explored projections of support for the runoff. In this possible second round, Yamandú Orsi would receive 49% of the votes compared to 41% for Álvaro Delgado. 10% of those surveyed have not yet decided or plan to vote blank or void.

The UPC emphasizes that these figures could vary significantly depending on the results of Sunday’s elections and the composition of the future Parliament.
