Santo Domingo.- The 2025 hurricane season in the Atlantic could be less intense than that of 2024, according to predictions of weather experts.
According to a preliminary Tropical Storm Risk (TSR) report, this year the formation of 15 storms with names in the Atlantic basin is expected.
Of that amount, seven They could reach hurricane category, three of them of greater intensity.

The Hurricanes season in the Atlantic begins on June 1 and ends on November 30 of each year, but many have started earlier.
The most destructive hurricane last season was Helene, which reached category 5 when touching land in the northwest of Florida, whose zone caused about 150 deaths.
Another category 5 meteor registered last year, was Beryl, the most powerful formed before the most active stage, which is registered between August and September.
