A captain of the Dominican Republic Air Force (FARD) is linked to the murder of Second Lieutenant Junior Reyes Chalas, which occurred last Sunday, December 15, in the Hainamosa sector, Santo Domingo Este municipality.
It is about Fraylin G. Pérez Camachowho, according to the National Policewould have been in charge of locating Reyes Chalas while he was driving a jeepeta in which he was traveling with two of the assailants. In addition, the authorities identified three other people involved: Estiven Herrera, alias “Wilito” and/or “Moto”; Tommy Antonio Ortiz, alias “Jhonci the Mechanic,” and an individual known as “El Gordo.”
«The investigations also establish that the fugitive “El Gordo” was waiting aboard a motorcycle, which was boarded by one of the detainees and the fugitive, who were transported by Pérez Camacho, who would have located the group of people among whom found the victim,” said the uniformed officer.
He continued: “It was under these circumstances that the criminals broke into the place where officer Junior Reyes Chalas, 38, was, who was sharing with several people in an area near his residence.”
The Police highlighted that images captured by security cameras show the development of the tragic event, including the vehicle driven by Pérez Camacho, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV, year 2011, white, license plate G240236. “This vehicle can be seen crossing the place where the current victim was playing dominoes on two occasions,” he indicated.
Likewise, he assured that a commission headed by the Department of Complex Crimes of the Santo Domingo Este Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), is working to deepen the investigations to establish the real motive for this fact.
“The National Police continues the search efforts to capture the fugitives (Jhonci el Mecánico and El Gordo) and bring them to justice,” he emphasized.
