What they do in bus terminals for Easter

The Program for the Reduction of Mortality due to Traffic Accidents (Premat) carries out orientation sessions this week and delivers kits with masks, toothpaste, condoms and other items to passengers at bus terminals and tolls.

It is a preventive and orientation day aimed at people who travel to the provinces. Julio César de León, from Premat, said that they guide drivers to drive carefully, to check their vehicles and take preventive measures in place to travel through the different roads.

During a day at the terminal at kilometer 9 of the Duarte Highway, he assured that if things are done right from the beginning, travelers will be able to return to be with their families who are waiting for them.

“Drivers put on their seatbelts and motorists to wear their protective helmets well, not to drink alcohol if they drive and to check their vehicles before leaving,” said De León.

In addition to the orientations and the delivery of kits, tests were being carried out at the terminal, together with Health area 6, against COVID-19 and for diabetes to all travelers who require it. The day extends to toll stations and other public bus terminals.
