According to the latest survey on the inflation carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), this managed to drop 1.4% compared to the month of October and was located at 4.9% positive value. It is because of this downward figure that the year-on-year price variation reached 92.4%.
The inflation November was much lower than the average of the projections made by private consultants, which remained close to 6% expectation. The value of price variation last month is the lowest in the last nine months and such value is attributed to the agreements carried out by the Government as the Fair Prices initiative.
With this data, Argentina ranked fourth in the world ranking of inflationafter Zimbabwe, Venezuela and Lebanonthese countries suffer a price increase of 255%, 213% and 158% respectively, while behind Argentina was Turkey in fifth place with 84 percentage points of positive price variation.
In the Latin American framework, Argentina is positioned only behind Venezuela and then it is followed by a tie in inflationary values, the neighboring country Chile and Colombia. The Latin American country with the lowest inflation is Bolivia, which has the mandate of Luis Arce, former Minister of Economy when Evo Morales governed, these being left-wing politicians.
On the other hand, countries such as the United States (USA), Europe and Asia perceived minor year-on-year increases, even so, affected by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Italy had 11.8%, Great Britain 10.7%, Germany 10.1%, USA 7.1%, France 6.2%, Japan 3.6%, China 1.6%, Austria 11%, Belgium 10 .6%, the Netherlands 9.9%, Iceland 9.3% Denmark 8.9%, Norway 6.5%, Luxembourg 5.9% and Switzerland 3%.
Sectors with the highest increases
The sectors that saw their prices increase the most in November were the following: housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel with 8.7%; communication through 6.4%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco had 6.3%.
In the case of transportation, the increase was 6.1%, empty goods and services had 5.8%, restaurants and hotels 5.5%, equipment and home maintenance operated with 5.4% increase. Food rose below the general index by 3.5%.
