To protect privacy, access to the ID uses facial recognition.
Requirements for the procedure and where to do it
To activate the Digital Health Card, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be the insured owner over 18 years of age.
- Have a current voting credential issued by the INE.
- Have attended at least one medical appointment at the IMSS units.
The procedure is carried out through the IMSS Digital application, version 8.0.2, available for iOS and Android. The process consists of two main steps:
Scan of your INE voting credential.
Capture a photo of your face to enable facial recognition.
